“EDIT BUTTON” now trending on Twitter anew.
“EDIT BUTTON” became one of the trending topics on Twitter anew after Twitter announced the full rollout of its Instagram Stories-like feature, the “Fleets”.
It was last March when Twitter officially launched “Fleets” as its own Stories-like feature. At that time, Twitter had been tested out this feature exclusively in Brazil.
According to Twitter group product manager Mo Aladham, they wanted to make “Fleets” possible for users to have a conversation in new ways with “more control” and “less pressure”.
Also at that time, “EDIT BUTTON” became one of the trending topics on Twitter as they wanted to have an “edit option” feature instead of Fleets.

Last August, Twitter had conducted a survey to its users in order to find out what possible subscription features that Twitter would like to add on its platform — including the “undo send” feature.
In a tweet from Andrew Roth, the “edit option” wasn’t included in the survey questionnaire.

And now that Twitter officially rolled out “Fleets”, “EDIT BUTTON” became one of the trending topics anew.
While some netizens tweeted that they wanted the “edit button” feature instead of Fleets, others were still hoping that the said feature will be available on Twitter.

I’m happy to see this “My day” when I open my Twitter. It makes my day happy. 😆 We want an edit button, but still thank you. pic.twitter.com/a8bAHu9bJP

Y’all keep asking for an edit button like that isnt super problematic. If you rt something and the person who tweets it edits it to something you disagree with y’all would be upset. It’s a horrible idea stop bringing it up😂

Twitter teach us to think many times before doing something because there’s no #EditButton in real life.
