DOH COVID-19 update as of November 29, 2020

The Department of Health (DOH) gave an update about its latest COVID-19 tally as of 4:00 p.m. of November 29, 2020.

According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #260 dated November 29, 2020, the Department of Health recorded 2,076 newly-reported COVID-19 cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 429,864.

Also, the Department of Health reported 22,867 total active cases wherein 82.9% were mild cases, 7.4% were asymptomatic cases, 6.1% were critical cases, 3.2% were severe cases, and 0.34% were moderate cases.

Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of November 29 only: Quezon City with 137 new cases, Laguna with 122 new cases, Cavite with 103 new cases, Batangas with 96 new cases, and Angeles City with 79 new cases.

Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 10,579 newly-reported recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 398,624. Also, the Department of Health recorded 40 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 8,373.

While the coronavirus disease was still present in the Philippines and the number of COVID-19 cases kept on increasing, the Department of Health constantly reminded the public to continually follow the minimum public health standards.

Also, the Department of Health reminded the public that they should keep in mind the minimum public health standards in all activities during the upcoming holiday season, adding that the 7 Commandments of Public Transport were there to guide them on a safe journey to their loved ones.
