Desperate Man Feels Cheated After Selling Piece of Meteorite for $14k But Buyer Resells It for $1.85M

A desperate man has sold a piece of meteorite for $14, 000 but he felt cheated after the buyer resells it for $1.85 million.

A man named Josua Hutagalung of Sumatera, Indonesia said that the meteorite ruined his roof and initially expressed his fury due to the incident. He eventually learned that he could earn a huge amount of cash from the space rock.

The 34-year-old guy met a meteorite specialist identified Jared Collins who offered RM57,660 ($14,000) for the space rock weighing 1.8 kilogram. Without any hesitation, Josua sold it to the space expert.

Initially, the desperate man felt happiness and planning to use the money to repair his home and the grave of his parents before donating the amount to the less-fortunate people. He eventually spent all the money on donations.

Hutagalung learned that Collins sold the meteorite for RM7.60 million ($1,857,000) and felt cheated due to the incident. The man believes that he deserved more than how much Jared paid him.

Jared is only the middle man and not the buyer of the meteorite, which is said to be worth RM7.56 million. I’ve been cheated and am disappointed upon hearing news from UK media outlets who are calling me a rich person,” Josua said.
