Camarines Sur Town Remains Submerged in Floodwaters a Few Dayys After Struck by Typhoon Rolly
The town of Milaor in Camarines Sur is still submerged in floodwaters due to the effects of Super Typhoon Rolly.
Earlier this week, Super Typhoon Rolly becomes the headlines of numerous local news outlets and social media pages after hitting several parts of the country. The strongest tropical cyclone this year destroyed numerous houses and properties.
Rolly uprooted trees, unroofed some evacuations centers, destroyed homes, toppled electrical posts, and took the lives of several Filipino people. It also causes flash floods and landslides in some areas.
On Friday (November 6, 2020), the residents of Milaor, Camarines Sur are still navigating along the flooded area. Hectares of rice paddies remain submerged in floodwaters a few days after struck by the powerful typhoon.
In the photos, it can be seen that the residents are traveling along the flooded areas using small boats. While residents in some areas are braving the floodwaters with their foot.
The typhoon made a landfall in Bato, Catanduanes last November 1, 2020 (Sunday).
