Jomel Lapides, the topnotcher in the 2020 Physician Licensure Examination was also the topnotcher in the 2011 Nursing Board Exams.
The University of the Philippines – Manila graduate bested other 3,500 passers in this year’s PLE with an 88.67% rating.
Followed by Patrick Joseph Amunategui Mabugat of University of Saint La Salle and Adrian Emmanuel Diago Teves of University of Santo Tomas (UST) with 88.58 percent.
Henrick Ryan Chua Fong of UST and Raphael Cecilio Salazar Rodolfo of UP Manila placed third with 88.33 percent.
On the other hand, the Cebu Institute of Medicine has been recognized as the Top Performing School with a 100% passing rate.
The Physician Board Examination was simultaneously conducted at PRC testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
The first part of the board examination took place on November 10 and 11, 2020, while the second part has been held on November 15 and 16, 2020.
Dr. Clarita C. Maaño, the Chairman of PRC Board of Medicine, together with its members, Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Dr. Rafael R. Castillo, and Dr. Raquel S. Sayo administered the board examinations.
