The new segment of ABS-CBN noontime program, It’s Showtime allegedly copied the concept of TV5’s Masked Singer Pilipinas.
It’s Showtime will air via A2Z television network owned by Bro. Eddie Villanueva this coming Sunday, October 11.
Aside from It’s Showtime, other shows of Kapamilya Network such as ASAP Natin ‘To, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and Walang Hanggang Paalam will also air on A2Z.
In line with the comeback of It’s Showtime on free TV is its segment called “Hide and Sing.”
According to PEP.ph, the said segment will showcase three mystery singers wearing a PPE-inspired outfit.
One of the mystery singers is a celebrity, who should be predicted by the celebrity player, with the help of Vice Ganda, Ryan Bang, Jhong Hilario, and Vhong Navarro.
The concept of Hide and Sing is similar with the Masked Singer Pilipinas, the reality singing competition show of Viva Television and TV5.
Many are suspecting that it was meant for It’s Showtime to pre-empt the program of Viva Television and TV5 which will only start on October 24, 2020.
Billy Crawford is the host of Masked Singer Pilipinas and the public knows that he is the ex-co-host of It’s Showtime.
