According to Yu, he admitted that it was indeed a difficult time for Huawei as he described the US ban as “unfair”. However, he emphasized that Huawei would continue to innovate and won’t give up.

In a report on Gizmochina, Yu said that Huawei promised to continue to carry out technological innovation no matter how difficult the situation was.

Yu added that Huawei would bring the best technology and innovation to its consumers, improve people’s lives, and improve everyone’s work efficiency as well. He added that they would keep their promise and thanked everyone for their trust and support.

Yu’s statement came as the US government effectively cut off Huawei Technologies from the supply of System-on-Chips (SOCs), memory, flash memory, and other components manufactured using the US tech in its latest ban which took effect last September 15.

This was the third round of ban that Huawei Technologies was suffering. Even Korean and Japanese suppliers would have to apply for licenses in the United States.

With the current situation, Huawei Technologies may not have access to chip for its flagship mobile devices in six months time.

Yu didn’t specifically outline Huawei’s plan in this regard.
