Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista made sure that she didn’t overstep in her role as “Tita Heart” to her stepkids Chesi and Quino.
Although she may not be their mother, Heart believed that she had a responsibility to guide her stepkids through life.
In a Zoom interview last October 19, 2020, Heart told PEP.ph and other Summit Media titles that it had been hard for her because she can’t be strict or else they would end up hating her.
According to her, having a friendship with her stepkids had helped her communicate with them openly and this came in handy when she needed to discipline them.

Heart met Chesi and Quino when they’re four years old and the twins turned 13 years old this year. According to Heart, she appreciated that she had been able to form a bond with the twins through the years.
She said in an interview that the twins just entered their teenage years and she’s glad that they were able to have a good relationship.
According to her, there’s a shift of how they were as a person and they’re a bit more distant as well. Heart also said that she’s glad that she was able to spend her days with them.
“Even when I was working, they saw what I do. They understand me. I understand them. I felt that that was really crucial before they became teenagers. I’m glad that I was able to establish that relationship with them before they entered the stage“, Heart said.
Meanwhile, Heart officially signed off as a creative director of Filipino fashion brand Kamiseta last September 30, 2020.
