According to a report on GMA News Online, Flow G and Skusta Clee — both members of Ex Battalion — released a track “Deym – 90’s Gang” for a clothing line promotion last September.

BTS fans then heard their track a week after it was released and they noticed that the said track had some close resemblance to “BTS – Ddaeng”.

With this, BTS fans concluded that he and Skusta Clee had allegedly stolen the beat from BTS.

On Monday, October 5, Flow G took to social media as he defended himself over plagiarism allegations.

Using his personal Facebook account, Flow G said that he used the “generic flow”, “generic words”, and “generic beat” that he made with Flip-D for the promotion video of his own clothing brand.

Flow G then apologized for BTS fans who were very supportive to their idols and he can’t blame them for what they thought about the said track.

Sana lahat ng taga hanga ganyan sumuporta“, Flow G said.

Aside from this, Flow G said that he posted about it for a brand promotion as well.

As posted in the comments section of his post, he clarified that he’s not a fan of BTS and he’s not a hater as well.

[UPDATE] On Wednesday (October 7, 2020), Ex Battalion Management released a statement as it debunked the plagiarism allegations against them.

Based on a report on GMA Entertainment, band manager Mairon Philip Soliman clarified that only Flow G wrote and performed “Deym – 90s Gang” and Skusta Clee had no participation in the said song.
