Enchanted Kingdom To Reopen This Month — Report
Enchanted Kingdom on Friday posted an announcement on its Facebook page as the theme park was set to reopen this month.
The said post also wrote check mark emojis on “safety and health protocols” and also thanked Santa Rosa, Laguna officials — led by Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas — and representatives of the the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Tourism (DOT), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as well for their respective visits.
However, the exact date of the said reopening wasn’t announced yet. Instead, the theme park announced that the public should check back through its official social media accounts for more updates.
Prior to the reopening of Enchanted Kingdom, Mayor Arcillas shared on Facebook that her team had visited the said theme park.
“September 30 inspection of one of the top tourist destinations not only in Santa Rosa, not only in Laguna but in the Philippines”, Mayor Arcillas said.
Laguna was currently under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) along with some other provinces, while the rest of the Philippines was in different levels of community quarantine.
As of 4:00 p.m. of October 9, 2020, the Department of Health recorded that the total number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the Philippines reached 334,770 on Friday with 2,996 newly-reported cases.
The total COVID-19 cases include 6,152 total deaths, 275,307 total recoveries, and 53,311 total active cases.
