The total number of coronavirus cases in the Philippines already reached 375,180 with over 2,000 newly-reported cases, according to the Department of Health (DOH).
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. today, October 28, 2020.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #228 dated October 28, 2020, the Department of Health reported 2,053 newly-reported COVID-19 cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 375,180.
Also, the Department of Health reported 38,955 total active cases wherein 83.0% were mild cases, 11.1% were asymptomatic cases, 3.8% were critical cases, and 2.2% were severe cases.

Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of October 28 only: Caloocan City with 108 new cases, Quezon City with 103 new cases, Negros Occidental with 97 new cases, Benguet with 93 new cases, and Rizal with 85 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 540 newly-reported recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 329,111. Also, the Department of Health recorded 61 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 7,114.
