The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 2,249 newly-reported coronavirus cases in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. of October 10, 2020.
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of today.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #210 dated October 10, 2020, the Department of Health reported 2,249 newly-reported COVID-19 cases, wherein 1,951 out of 2,249 were recorded as “fresh” cases — reported cases occurred within the recent 14 days.
This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 336,926.
Since September 11, the Department of Health didn’t report the number of operational laboratories who successfully submitted their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System as well as the total number of operational laboratories. However, the Department of Health on Saturday reported that 17 operational laboratories failed to submit their data to the CDRS.

The Department of Health also reported 54,594 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #210 dated October 10, 2020.
Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of October 10 only: Metro Manila with 651 new cases, Batangas with 139 new cases, Iloilo with 136 new cases, Laguna with 128 new cases, and Quezon with 107 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 842 newly-reported recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 276,094. Also, the Department of Health recorded 87 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 6,238.
