DOH Records 1,761 Newly-Reported COVID-19 Cases In PH

DOH had recorded 1,761 newly-reported COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.

The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 1,761 newly-reported coronavirus cases in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. of October 29, 2020.

This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of today.

According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #229 dated October 29, 2020, the Department of Health reported 1,761 newly-reported COVID-19 cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 376,935.

Also, the Department of Health reported 39,940 total active cases wherein 83.3% were mild cases, 10.9% were asymptomatic cases, 3.7% were critical cases, and 2.1% were severe cases.

Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of October 29 only: Quezon City with 85 new cases, Rizal with 74 new cases, Caloocan City with 73 new cases, Davao City with 70 new cases, and Laguna with 69 new cases.

Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 740 newly-reported recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 329,848. Also, the Department of Health recorded 33 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 7,147.
