Did former matinee idol Carlo Muñoz regret leaving showbiz?
Carlo Muñoz was one of the most admired actors then.
But in 2003, he left the world of show business to go with his brother Leandro to America after their father passed away.
Although he left showbiz here in the country, he tried to enter the entertainment industry in the United States.
Carlo shared via “Just In” with Paolo Contis that he was attending acting classes in Hollywood back then.
“If you want to become an actor, you come to Hollywood, most of the people here are from other states, pumupunta sila dito thinking they’re gonna be successful, but it’s a long road to success,” he said.
While in the US, Carlo Muñoz became part of a traveling musical “Amerikana: Made in the Philippines” produced by Pinay actress Fe de los Reyes, before he changed his career.
At the height of his acting in the country, he became part of Tabing Ilog, Pangako Sayo, Bituin and others.
He was last seen on TV in “The Story of Us” featuring Xian Lim and Kim Chiu.

In an interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda, Carlo announced that their migration to the US is not easy because according to him, their life here in the Philippines is more comfortable.
He also shared that one of his experiences in the US was working in a warehouse stacking box and as a salesman.
Carlo Muñoz is currently working in America as an administrator of a nursing home.
