Bugoy Cariño Speaks on Relationship w/ Girlfriend EJ Laure
BUGOY CARIÑO – The former child star and Hashtags member admitted that he and his girlfriend, EJ Laure, have struggled in their relationship.
Last September, the rumors surrounding the relationship of Bugoy and EJ two years ago were confirmed. The former child star, through a photo posted on social media, confirmed that he is now a father.
Previously, there were speculations that Bugoy was one of the two members of Hashtags, a dance group born in a segment of the ABS-CBN noontime variety show It’s Showtime, who got suspended. There were rumors that the reason was that they got their girlfriends pregnant.
The rumors were even more ignited when EJ who plays for the volleyball team of the University of Santo Tomas took a leave from the sport. Her camp cited a shoulder injury.

Last September 4, in time for the 18th birthday of Bugoy, the former child star posted their family photo. He now has a two-year-old daughter, Scarlet, with EJ.
Speaking to Toni Gonzaga’s for I Feel U, Bugoy Cariño admitted that he and EJ Laure got struggles in their relationship at first as first time parents. He admitted that it was not easy for the both of them.
Meanwhile, based on a report on Pep, the former child star said that their relationship is strengthened as time pass. They have now a baby to prioritize.
“Habang tumatagal po kasi, mas tumitibay po yung pagmamahalan namin,” he said.
According to the report, Bugoy Cariño also stressed that he and EJ Laure are not minding their age gap of five years. He stressed that their happiness and their daughter’s happiness are their priorities.
Also, the former child star stressed that his perspective has changed and he is more mature now. His goal now is to give his family a good life and to be able to have their own house.
