Apple launched new devices during ‘Hi, Speed’ event.

Apple officially launched new devices during its “Hi, Speed” virtual launch event that was broadcasted live on its website, Apple TV app, and YouTube.

Here are the new devices that were unveiled during Apple’s launch event:

HomePod Mini

Apple officially launched HomePod Mini as a “new product for the home”.

According to Apple, the HomePod Mini was powered by its S5 chip and has some new feature updates for Siri.

Apple also said that the HomePod Mini was designed to work with its services — including Apple Music and Apple Podcasts — in addition to AirPlay support.

Moreover, Apple said that a future software update would also allow the device to work with different third party music services such as Pandora and Amazon Music. However, the support for Spotify wasn’t mentioned during the launch.

The price of HomePod Mini starts at USD 99.00, pre-order period would start on November 6, 2020, and shipping would start on November 16, 2020.

Apple has yet to announce the availability of HomePod Mini in the Philippines soon.

iPhone 12 Series

Apple officially revealed four variants of iPhone 12: the iPhone 12 with 5G, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max.

In terms of its availability, Apple will start accepting pre-orders for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro on October 16, 2020, and will be available in the United States on October 23, 2020.

For iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Mini, Apple will start accepting pre-orders on November 6, 2020, and will be available in the United States on November 13, 2020.

Apple has yet to announce the availability of these handsets in the Philippines soon.
