Google Drive will automatically delete the Trash Files starting October 13, 2020.
Google recently gave a heads-up to its G Suite users as the Trash Items in the Google Drive would be automatically deleted after 30 days starting October 13, 2020.
This, as Google had been doing some changes with its retention policies for the files in Google Drive’s Trash.
With Google’s new policy, all files that were previously placed into Trash would be automatically deleted after 30 days.
The said change aligned with other policies on Google Services, which made it predictable and consistent for users across G Suite products.
To recall, trashed items would be retained in Trash unless manually deleted or emptied permanently by the user.
