StarStruck alumna Diva Montelaba believed that she got coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 while grocery shopping.
In her vlog via video-sharing site, YouTube, she shared how she might have contracted the virus.
According to the 29-year-old actress, she believed that she got the disease when she went outside to buy groceries.
“I strongly believe na sa grocery ko siya nakuha. That day siguro medyo nag-petiks ako sa pag-sanitize right after mag-grocery. Madalas ako humawak sa face ko, so maybe that’s why,” she said.
She shared that by the time she experienced the symptoms, she immediately left their house and checked into a quarantine facility.
She did not deny that she had difficulty while recovering from the disease because she was fighting alone with COVID-19.
Diva Montelaba announced her COVID-19 journey on her YouTube channel and she believes the timing of the vlog is “perfect” with the aim of providing information and awareness to the public.
“Hindi ako nagba-vlog but I did my first vlog and I think that was the perfect timing ’cause I really want to spread awareness, na kahit sino pwedeng tamaan ng virus and it’s not easy,” she said.
According to gmanetwork.com, it was on Friday, September 4, when the news that she had COVID-19 broke.
