A certain Camille Anne Mendoza is currently making rounds in almost all social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
It’s been six months since the country was devastated by the dreaded coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) which originated in the province of Wuhan in China.
Doctors, nurses, other medical professionals, security forces and to name a few were among those who frontline the battle against the unseen virus.
It is clear that most of them are restless and exhausted while attending to their designated work.
In fact, last month, a group of medical frontliners asked the national government to place Metro Manila- which was hard hit by COVID, under Enhanced Community Quarantine.
The plea aims to give a two-week break for medical workers and for them to formulate strategies to better combat the virus.
While medical frontliners are given recognition as modern-day heroes, a netizen disagrees and even called them “unprofessional.”
Camille Anne Mendoza, a Facebook user, earned the netizens’ ire over her statement against medical workers.
In a post which she attached to an article courtesy of Philstar, she noted: “sobrang unprofessional 😡 kaya dumadami ang covid eh. you are not being paid to just sleep around. think about the covid patients that need your help. oa kayo masyado.”
Her post has gone viral online particularly on the social networking site, Facebook, and it also garnered reactions and comments from the netizens.
She also became trending on the micro-blogging site, Twitter with thousands of retweets.
