However, it’s difficult for her to catch up with her lessons since her online class has already started last August 24.

“Nahihirapan po ako maghabol ng subject, hindi ko po ma-search ang kailangang i-search, sariling sikap na lang,” she said.
According to ABS-CBN News, she earns P5 to P10 for each packet of fish sold and she only earned P600 as of posting.
Her parents are separated and she’s ashamed to ask for money from her dad since her father lost his job because of the pandemic.
“Sana naman po ‘yung mga taong natulungan ko, maalala nila kami kasi walang wala na po talaga kami,” said Regie Velarde, the father of Ella Mae.
The student ignores the negative comments thrown at her because according to her, what matters is that she can continue her studies.
“Ang goal ko po talaga makapagtapos kasi gusto ko pag-aralin dalawa ko kapatid,” she said.
“Yang batang po ‘yan top 2 sa school nila. Sana po matulungan ‘yung bata kasi deserving naman, nag-aaral po ‘yan,” her father stressed.
