JM De Guzman helped in giving assistance to stranded passengers at the Pier in Manila.
JM De Guzman was part of the Philippine Coast Guard’s relief operations at Manila North Harbor as they wanted to help passengers who were stranded at the pier.
This, as JM shared videos and photos on his Instagram account showing that he participated in helping his countrymen who were in need of food and a place to sleep as they’re stranded at the Pier in Manila.
President Rodrigo Duterte had placed Metro Manila and other nearby areas under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) for 15 days from August 4 to 18. With this, passengers at the Pier in Manila were stranded ad can’t go back to their respective residences.

In his post, he said that they continued to collect donations as they needed 50 “duyan” or hammocks which can be used by passengers as alternative beds while being stranded at the Pier.
This wasn’t the first time he had extended his help. Although netizens had spotted the actor several times as he extended help to those who were in need in the recent months due to the pandemic.
