Female Doctor Saves Man’s Life at Beach But Called Out for Wearing Bikini During That Time
A female doctor wearing a bikini saves man’s life at the beach but gets called out because of her alleged inappropriate attire.
Dr. Candice Myhre of Hawaii goes viral after saving a man who got into an accident while surfing at the beach. The guy has been accidentally hit by a boat and drowned after losing his consciousness.
The Hawaii doctor is an Emergency Medicine Physician who happened to be at the same beach. Myhre strapped the patient into the surfboard and tied his wounds to stop the bleeding.
Myhre was able to stabilize the male patient’s condition in 1 hour until the rescue helicopter arrived. The injured man was rushed to the nearest hospital after the helicopter arrived at the beach.
Unfortunately, the medical personnel got called out for wearing bikini while treating the patient. Candice was on a holiday when the incident happened and she can wear whatever she want because she’s not on duty.
The online community expressed their support for the lady doctor who just wanted to save the swimmer’s life although she was obliged to do it. The netizens lashed out the bashers for dictating the doctor on what to wear when saving someone’s life.
The incident happened amid the #MedBikini protest claiming bikinis and fancy dresses are inappropriate attire.
The female doctor also gave her side of the story: “Female doctors, nurses, NPs/PAs, all healthcare professionals – we can wear a bikini, a dress, or we can wear scrubs. This does not change how good we are at being a healthcare provider. “We can wear WHATEVER we want on our free time, and still save your life.”
