Arnell Ignacio insisted that he is not arguing or quarreling with Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado.
This was in relation to the unsolicited advice of the host that celebrities like Jennylyn Mercado should not get involved in politics.
He said it was just a piece of advice to a fellow actor who had a very good career.
“Sana, inunawa nila kung bakit ko ito sinasabi, e. Kung ikaw, artista, at nagsimula kang makipagdiskusyon sa mga bagay-bagay na pulitika, paano ka gaganap ng roles mo uli na madali kang tanggapin ng iyong mga tagahanga?,” he said.
“Gaano ba kabigat ang gusto mong ipaglaban to put your career sa line? Meron ka bang malalim na ipinaglalaban? Kasi, kung wala rin naman, bakit isasakripisyo yung career mo na makipagdiskusyon sa ganyan?”

According to Arnell Ignacio, he was able to read the tweets of Jennylyn Mercado who earlier asked if there’s a qualification upon expressing an opinion or commenting about politics.
Obviously, it’s the response of Jennylyn Mercado with Arnell Ignacio’s unsolicited advice.
He said it was just a reminder to her because he thinks the actress has put herself in a situation where other people will criticize her. It may even affect the latter’s career.
Arnell also reacted to Jennylyn’s tweet asking where the Duterte government’s debts went for the country’s COVID response.
Arnell Ignacio, a self-proclaimed supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, said: “Nagkakaroon kasi ng color of sarcasm kapag ipinu-post mo na sa social media.”
