23 Bacolod City Hospital Staff Including 4 Doctors Tested Positive for COVID-19

BACOLOD CITY HOSPITAL STAFF – Around 23 staff of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) were confirmed positive for COVID-19.

The healthcare systems of over 200 countries and territories were rocked by COVID-19. The effects of this disease declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) as pandemic went beyond what was expected of it.

The international body was even alarmed by how fast this coronavirus disease spread across the globe. The Philippines is one of the countries that confirmed cases of the disease.

In PH, the Department of Health (DOH) record contains 136,638 total cases; 2,294 deaths; and 68,159 recoveries. Community quarantine measures are still up in the country now to curb the spread of the infection.

Also, the wearing of a face mask has become a protocol and as well as the practice of social distancing. The latter is implemented even in public transportation.

Bacolod City is one of the cities with confirmed cases of COVID-19. There are around 116 houses sealed-off in the city now due to the coronavirus cases.

Based on a recent post of Radyo Bandera – Bacolod, 23 Bacolod City hospital staff were infected by COVID-19. They are staff members of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH).

The said Bacolod City hospital staff who tested positive for COVID-19 include 17 non-medical employees, two (2) nurses, and four (4) doctors according to Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran.

Currently, the city is under a Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ). The local government also made changes to the curfew implemented in the city and it is now from 8:00 o’clock in the evening to 4:00 o’clock in the morning.
