More than 15.5 million cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been recorded worldwide with over 600,000 deaths and 8.7 million recoveries.

With the rapid increase of coronavirus disease 2019 cases, leaders of different nations are doing their all in order to combat the spread of the deadly virus which started in China in 2019.
Among the safety protocols that everyone must observe are the following; social/physical distancing, wearing masks especially in public places, and using disinfectant from time to time if possible.
It is characterized by flu-like symptoms such as fever, difficulty in breathing, cough and other respiratory problems but a patient may also be positive for the disease even without showing any signs at all.
The United States holds the record with the highest number of cases with 4,038,864 infections, 144,305 deaths, and 1,233,269 recoveries.
Followed by Brazil with 2,287,475 cases and 84,082 deaths, UK with 297,146 cases and 45,554 deaths, Mexico with 370,712 cases and 41,908 deaths and Italy with 245,338 cases and 35,092 deaths.
China, where the COVID-19 started has recorded 83,750 cases (21 new) as of posting with 4,634 deaths (0 new), and 78,873 recoveries.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health announced via its latest bulletin that the Philippines has recorded 2,103 additional cases, 144 new recoveries, and 15 new deaths as of Friday, July 24, 2020.
Based on the record of the country’s health department, the Philippines has now a total of 76,444 confirmed cases with 24,502 recoveries and 1,879 deaths.
