Pastor Apollo Quiboloy did not miss the opportunity to speak when the Committee on Legislative Franchises of the House of Representatives denied ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal application.
On Friday, July 10, Congress closed the hearing on the franchise renewal application of the largest broadcasting network in the Philippines with the decision to deny the bid.

A total of 70 congressmen voted Yes for the denial of the network’s franchise bid while 11 voted No with 2 who Inhibit and 1 who Abstain.
Meanwhile, in the live broadcast of his program Give Us This Day on SMNI TV, the Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder and leader gave his opinion about the closure of ABS-CBN.
“Marami pa kayong haharapin na cases ngayon, tax evasion, kaya huwag magyabang,” he said amid the allegations thrown at the network.
“Huwag yung masyadong mataas ang lipad niyo. Parang untouchable na kayo. Napansin ko sa inyo, mga crew niyo kahit saan pumunta, basta may markang ABS-CBN, ang tataas ng paningin sa sarili,” he added.
“Dapat lahat tumabi ang tao, dapat kayo lang ang atensyunan. Ganyan ang napapansin ko, kayabangan yun. The Lord in heaven will not let you do that,” he stressed.
According to PEP.ph, Quiboloy also talked about his previous program at the ABS-CBN station in Davao that was apparently canceled.
