LTO-Bacolod Extends Temporary Closure Of Offices Until August 12

LTO-Bacolod extended the temporary closure of its offices in until August 12.

LTO-BACOLOD — The Land Transportation Office recently announced the extension of the temporary closure of its offices in Bacolod City until August 12, 2020.

This, after the Land Transportation Office previously announced that the LTO temporarily closed its office for two days — which was until tomorrow — in order to disinfect the whole facility.

In a report on The Visayan Daily Star, Riza Otayde — the public information officer of LTO Western Visayas — said that all LTO offices in Bacolod City had been compromised by a locally-stranded individual who had coronavirus disease.

Otayde also said that all LTO offices will be closed until August 12.

As previously reported on Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, LTO-Bacolod head Reuben Tampus said that he directed 46 employees of LTO 6, security guard, and two police officers that were assigned at the said office to undergo home quarantine. Moreover, he added that the the LTO 6 had a “special communication” with Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran requesting that all employees of LTO 6 be subjected to undergo a swab test.

The temporary closure of its office happened after a COVID-positive patient from Victorias, based on a report on Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, went to the said office from July 16 to 17 in order to process documents.
