Jennylyn Mercado to her Twitter followers: ‘Huwag niyo na akong tawaging Jen, call me Bessie‘
Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado gets active once again on Twitter and she told her Twitter followers to just call her “Bessie”.
Jen’s last series of post before she came back to the Twitter world was in December of 2019. Her posts were usually promotions of her shows in the Kapuso network and her vlog collaboration with boyfriend Dennis Trillo.
In 2020, she posted another promotion in April and after that, she began posting again on July 13. This time, she talked about social issues and things that become a concern for many Filipinos.
She was even vocal about her support for the Kapamilya network even though she is in its rival network. Jennylyn Mercado also slammed Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa due to his statement that ABS-CBN employees should just start looking for other jobs.

With this series of posts on Twitter, some perceived that perhaps Jen’s account was hacked. She said, “Natakot tuloy ako kala komay naghack nga. Ngayon lang ako naging active talaga sa twitter. Saya pala.”
Apparently, the Kapuso star has just found how exciting the Twitter world could be. In one of her recent posts, she said, “Ang saya pala talaga sa twitter. Huwag niyo na akong tawaging Jen, call me Bessie (red heart emoji).”
That was the reason why “bessie” became one of the top Twitter trends on July 18. Jennylyn Mercado said that the voices of the people must be heard.
“We are not powerless until we are silenced. Our voices must be heard. Speak up for those who can’t,” the singer-actress said.
