Meanwhile, Janella shared her experience when she was chosen as one of song interpreters during the previous Himig Handog. According to her, interpreting a song from new composers was one of her “most nerve-racking experiences”.
She also said that Himig Handog wasn’t her competition, but a song composition for the songwriters. Janella then admitted that she felt nervous every time that she joined Himig Handog wherein a songwriter gave her the trust to interpret their composition.
With this, Janella might be chosen as one of the song interpreters in this year’s Himig Handog.
Moreover, Janella revealed the reason behind her latest single “Blanko”. According to her, she didn’t write the song, yet the message of “Blanko” implied that if you saw someone you loved — could be a crush or a lover — “nabablanko ka”.
