DOH Gives Update On Total COVID-19 Cases In PH As Of Today, July 11, 2020

DOH gave an update on the total COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of today, July 11, 2020.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday gave an update on the total number of coronavirus cases in the Philippines as of today, July 11, 2020.

The Department of Health reported 1,387 new coronavirus cases wherein 918 were classified as “fresh” cases and the remaining 469 were classified as “late” cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 54,222 as of 4:00 p.m. of July 11, 2020.

Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health also reported 807 new recoveries and 12 additional fatalities. This brought the total number of recoveries to 14,037 and total coronavirus deaths to 1,372.

Moreover, the Department of Health reported 38,813 total active cases as of 4:00 p.m. of July 11, 2020.

For “fresh” cases, 261 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 62 were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 595 came from different areas in the Philippines.

For the “late” cases, 178 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 15 were from Central Visayas, three repatriates, and the remaining 276 were from different areas in the Philippines.

According to the Department of Health, the fresh cases recorded on Saturday were based on its test results released to patients within the last three days, while the late cases recorded were based on the test results released to patients four days ago or more.
