According to DOH, the increase in the number of cases on Sunday might be attributed to the increased contact among the population as the Philippines continued to ease community quarantine measures.
With this, the Department of Health appealed to the public that they should “continue practicing general preventive measures” in order to avoid the further transmission of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), including physical distancing, proper handwashing, avoiding non-essential travel outside their residence, observing minimum health standards, and wearing of face masks.
