Veteran actress Chanda Romero took to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein she paid tribute to her mother Remedios “Meding” Romero who died due to COVID-19.
Chanda Romero was left with “no words” as she bids goodbye to her mom.
In the photo she posted on her IG account, she stated:
“Go with God now, mom
Till we meet again
We love you so very much.”
Chanda Romero’s post was then flooded with messages of condolences to the bereaved family.
Meding passed away on Friday, July 3 at Cebu Doctors Hospital, Cebu City.
The actress and her siblings were not able to see their mother for the last time to attend their mom’s cremation.
Chanda Romero’s sister, Marie Romero Wood, thanked everyone who prayed for their mother and family.
Her message: “On behalf of my family, we deeply appreciate the overwhelming prayers, love and support during this difficult time.”
According to PEP.ph, it was on June 19, when Chanda Romero called for anyone who can donate plasma to her mother who was infected with COVID-19.
“My Mother is now confined in Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital due to Covid19. We are in dire need of plasma from Covid patients who have recovered,” she said at the time.
“If there is anyone out there who is willing to donate plasma, please PM me your contact number and we will call you. We shall be very grateful for the help you can extend to our family. God bless you,” she added.
