Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson joined the peaceful protest organized by Oakland native Justin Toscano-Anderson in lieu of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor’s death.

Their participation in the said protest has been captured via videos that were posted by GSW on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Stephen Curry is accompanied by his wife Ayesha and he can be heard chanting, on the “Say his name,” prompting their colleague to shout, “George Floyd.”

Justin Toscano-Anderson, on the other hand, did the same thing as the crowd chant to Breonna Taylor.

Also joining the peaceful protest was Warriors’ shooting guard, Damion Lee.

The GSW players were among the basketball stars who participated in various protests organized in different parts of the USA following the controversial death of George Floyd.

According to Yahoo News, Karl-Anthony Towns of Minnesota Timberwolves, Jaylen Brown of Boston Celtics, Malcolm Brogdon of Indiana Pacers, Tobias Harris of Philadelphia 76ers, Dennis Smith Jr. of New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks players were all spotted in varied protests.

Protest across America burst after the death of George Floyd under police custody.

George Floyd, an African-American man, who died after a police officer kneeled on his neck for about 8 minutes.

Prior to his killing, he was arrested after being accused of using a counterfeit $20 bill at a market.

A video of the incident was retrieved and it appears that he did not resist the arrest, as claimed by the law enforcer. He can also be heard on the video exclaiming, “I can’t breathe.”

On the other hand, it was last March 13 when Louisville police crash into the apartment of Breonna Taylor using a battering ram as they execute a search warrant.

The 26-year-old African-American emergency room technician was shot dead after being hit eight times.

Taylor allegedly accused that her house is a venue for the illegal drug trade.
