Twitter’s in-app verification system now in the works.
Twitter was currently planning to launch its newly-revamped in-app verification system with publicly-documented guidelines after shuttering its public verification program in 2017.
This, as Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineer, tweeted that she had found a “Request Verification” option to Twitter’s mobile app and she submitted additional details on Twitter’s plans to TechCrunch.
Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineer who regularly discovered new features from social media platforms ahead of its official launch, found on Twitter’s mobile app that the company was currently working on the said feature in order for its users to request verification directly in an app. The said option will appear in the Account Settings page under “Personal Information”.
Twitter has yet to announce the availability of this feature soon.

Meanwhile, Twitter officially confirmed to TechCrunch that Jane Manchun Wong’s screenshots had shown its forthcoming option to request for verification. Although Twitter didn’t reveal much about this feature, yet the company said that it would also publicly document what was required in order for its users to be verified.
As per the report, there was no exact date on when will this feature be available to the public.
