Jose Angelo David continues to inspire many after he shared on the social networking site, Facebook, the struggles he had just to finish his Master of Laws at Harvard University.
Harvard University in the United States of America is considered one of the leading educational institutions in the world.
But Jose Angelo or Anjo never imagined in his wildest dreams that he will clinch the university which he only read from the novels of John Grisham and Dan Brown.
Jose Angelo started his dreams in a “small, cramped town in bustling Metro Manila.”
According to him, he and his two siblings studied in a public high school during his secondary years so that his father, who’s working as a local government employee, could save money and hopefully send them to college.
But an unfortunate event happened which caused his father’s life. His dad was diagnosed with leukemia before passing away.
“Whatever savings he had were spent for his battle with a disease that took away not only his life, but almost snuffed out our hope of having a comfortable future,” he noted.
“Thankfully, our mother was, and still is, indomitable,” he added.
“From managing the household her entire married life, my mom braved the call center world so she could support all three of her children and send my younger sisters through college.” he said.
According to PEP.ph, he then studied at the University of the Philippines with a degree in Political Science and later on pursued law at San Beda University.
In 2014, he made a name for himself after placing 6th place in the Bar Exam.
Then, he decided to study in the U.S. while being supported by Harvard University through financial grants.
