Facebook will launch new updates for Android devices, including Dark Mode.
Facebook was about to launch new features to its app for Android devices, including dark mode, coronavirus tracker, and a lot more.
This, as 9to5Google already obtained the upcoming updates of Facebook for Android devices.
Dark Mode
In a report on 9to5Google, Facebook would add “dark mode” support to its main app despite other apps from the company — Instagram, Facebook Lite, and Messenger — already had its dark mode support.
This is what Facebook would look like if it was in “dark mode”.
As per the report, this feature used both dark gray and nearly-black shades, adding that the said feature also has Facebook’s blue-accent color and white when switching to Dark mode. However, there’s no announcement from the company on when will this feature be available to android devices.
Localized COVID-19 tracker
Aside from Dark Mode, Facebook will also launch its latest feature — the localized COVID-19 tracker. 9to5Google demonstrated the said feature and it showed COVID-19 cases for three weeks and wider county-wide COVID-19 cases for seven days.
However, just like the dark mode feature, there’s no announcement from the company on when will this feature be available to android devices.
Refreshed “Time on Facebook” UI
As per the report, Facebook was currently working on its refreshed user interface for its “Time on Facebook” feature. This feature would keep its users track themselves of how long they actively used the app on a weekly basis.
The refreshed version of this feature would include “a grid-based UI” that would separate the different sections. Moreover, the “Quiet Mode” feature might be included as one of the features in its refreshed UI of its “Time on Facebook”
