Disney was eyeing for reopening of its theme parks in California in July.
Disney on Wednesday officially announced that the said company was eyeing for reopening of theme parks in California in July this year.
This, as Disney released a statement on Wednesday saying that Disney characters will be present in its theme parks in order to delight and entertain its guests while the character meet-and-greets will be “temporarily unavailable”.
The said announcement came after Shanghai Disneyland was officially reopened last May and followed Disney’s similar timetable to the reopening of Disney World in Florida.

Meanwhile, Disneyland in California officially announced that the company was planning to reopen next month — but at its “significantly-limited” capacity. In addition, Disneyland said that guests would have no opportunities to have close contact with Disney characters.
Under its plans, which would require approval from the government, the resort near Los Angeles in California — including Disney California Adventure and Disneyland — would welcome its guests back starting July 17.
As per the report, all guests will need to book their reservations in advance when the theme parks in California were officially reopened, adding that social distancing measures — including “no parades” or “nighttime spectaculars” — will still be implemented inside the theme park until a later date. Moreover, hotels at the said site will reopen the following week under its plan.
Last May, Disney said that the division’s quarterly-operating profit fell 58% from 2019 due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
