Earlier, Metro Manila shift its quarantine status from Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) to General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

Metro Manila has loosened its restrictions despite that the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise with more than 18,000 cases as of posting.

Here are some of the advice of popular celebrities according to Inquirer.net:

“Going back to work doesn’t mean that CoViD19 has gone away. It will be a part of our concern and an enemy to us all, and until a cure is finally found IT WILL BE PART of the new norm. Keep your guard up friends…at all times,” Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano noted.

Agot Isidro for her part said: “First day of GCQ. You need to go back to work. We can only hope that after almost 80 days of lockdown, hinanda na ang pagbabalik trabaho. So please practice OC-ness. Your first defense is all these safety precautions. Mag-ingat po kayo.”

“Follow rules. WEAR YOUR MASKS for others,” Solenn Heussaff on the other hand stressed.

TV host Joyce Pring for her part said: “Remember, just because somebody places cake on the table and says you CAN eat it, doesn’t mean you SHOULD. Err on the side of caution, is what Im trying to say, dahil GCQ na bukas. Ingat mga friends.”

Metro Manila has been placed under GCQ following a recommendation from the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
