Xander Ford posted his “Laban Kapamilya” photo
Social media personality Xander Ford showed support for ABS-CBN through his “Laban Kapamilya” photo and this garnered various reactions from netizens.
Xander was formerly known as Marlou Arizala. He and his friends caught the attention of the online community through their viral videos. Later on, he was given a chance to have a big break in the entertainment industry.
Marlou went through cosmetic surgery and adopted the name Xander Ford for his new face. However, he went controversial when complaints against his attitude circulated on social media.
Just recently, he once again elicited the attention of many netizens when he shared his “Laban Kapamilya” photo. Kapamilya celebrities, as well as those working behind the camera, shared their photos with their fists on their chest.
Xander did the same in his recent IG photo but several netizens criticized him for posting this. Some said that he does not need to post that kind of photo because he is not a Kapamilya. Here are some of the comments.
In line with this criticisms, Xander explained in his following post that he does not need to be a Kapamilya to show his support for ABS-CBN. “Oo Hindi man ako kasali or kasali ako, karapatan kung ipag laban ang bagay or sino mang nag papasaya sa akin.” he said.
On other other hand, there were netizens who defended Xander Ford against his bashers just like what Instagram user @kuku_7310 did.
ABS-CBN signed off on May 5, following the cease and desist of the order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission. The network’s franchise expired on May 4. However, ABS-CBN has filed a petition to the Supreme Court against the decision of the NTC.
