COVID-19 Death Toll in the US hits 1,297 in 24 hours.
The United States of America has recorded 1,297 deaths in just 24 hours due to COVID-19 based on a tally released by Johns Hopkins University.
As of posting, US has a total of 101,573 fatalities since the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 pandemic hit the USA and other parts of the world.
The Baltimore-based university also stated that a total of 1,720,613 cases have been recorded in the US.
According to an article published by ABS-CBN News courtesy of AFP, the tally was released at 8:30 pm (0030 GMT Friday).
Meanwhile, in a tally courtesy of The Guardian based on its official sources, it has recorded 5,802,839 COVID-19 cases in the whole world with 359,776 deaths and 1,739,988 recoveries.

Based on the record of the country’s health department, the Philippines has now a total of 15,558 cases wherein 3,598 have recovered, 921 passed away, and 11,069 active cases.
