Redmi Note 9 Series officially arrived in the Philippines!
Xiaomi officially launched its latest smartphone series, the Redmi Note 9 series, in the Philippines. Check out its technical specs, price, and availability below.
The launch event of Xiaomi in the Philippines came following Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 9 Series global launch event last April 30, 2020.
Specifications of Redmi Note 9
This smartphone has a 6.53-inch FHD+ DotDisplay with a low blue light certification from TÜV Rheinland as well as splash-proof nano coating. In terms of its performance, this smartphone has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, ARM G52 MC2 graphics processor, up to 4GB internal memory, up to 128GB internal storage, and 5020mAh battery capacity.
When it comes to its cameras, this smartphone has a quad-rear camera setup which includes 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor. It also has a 13MP in-display front camera.
Moreover, this smartphone weighs 199 grams. Other features were also present in this smartphone such as proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, acceleration sensor, gyroscope, digital compass, fingerprint sensor, IR Blaster, and a lot more.
This smartphone comes in three color variants: Forest Green, Midnight Grey, and Polar White.

This smartphone has a 6.67-inch FHD+ DotDisplay with a low blue light certification from TÜV Rheinland as well as Corning Gorilla Glass 5. In terms of its performance, this smartphone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, Qualcomm Adreno 618 graphics processor, up to 6GB internal memory, up to 128GB internal storage, and 5020mAh battery capacity.
When it comes to its cameras, this smartphone has a quad-rear camera setup which includes 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor. It also has a 16MP in-display front camera.
Moreover, this smartphone weighs 209 grams. Other features were also present in this smartphone such as Z-axis linear vibration motor, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, distance sensor, in-screen ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass, IR blaster, and a lot more.
This smartphone comes in three color variants: Glacier White, Interstellar Grey, and Tropical Green.
Price and Availability
The Redmi Note 9 series launch event in the Philippines came following the launch of Redmi Note 9S in the Philippines as well as the availability of the limited Mi Fan Festival edition of the Redmi Note 9s in the country.
The Redmi Note 9 was priced at PHP 7,990 for the 3GB + 64GB variant and PHP 9,990 for the 4GB + 128GB version, while the Redmi Note 9 Pro was priced at PHP 12,490 for the 6GB + 64GB variant and PHP 13,990 for the 6GB + 128GB version.
As per the report, these smartphones will be available via Xiaomi Global Store on Shopee on May 27 and via Xiaomi Flagship Store on Lazada on June 4.
