Quezon City has 2,127 COVID-19 cases now
Quezon City has recorded 2,127 cases of coronavirus disease or COVID-19 as of Friday, May 29, 2020.
According to the local government unit, 1,963 have the complete address.
1,806 of the cases, on the other hand, have been validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices.
As of Friday night, the total number of active cases was at 788 while it has recorded 36 new recoveries, making it 841 in its latest tally of recoveries.
According to a report of GMA News, several areas were placed under a 14-day lockdown due to the higher number of COVID-19 cases in the said areas.
Here are the areas which are still under the “special concern lockdown”:
- Sitio Militar in Brgy. Bahay Toro
- Vargas Compound-Adelfa Metro Heights-Abanay and Ancop Canada in Brgy. Culiat
- Lower Gulod in Brgy. Sauyo
- 318 Dakila St., 2nd Alley Kalayaan B and Masbate St. in Brgy. Batasan Hills
- Victory Avenue, ROTC Hunters, BMA Avenue and Agno St. in Brgy. Tatalon
- Certeza Compound, Barangay Culiat
- Alley 2, Homart Road, Barangay Baesa
- Victory Avenue, ROTC Hunters, BMA Avenue and Agno St. in Brgy. Tatalon
Meanwhile, the Department of Health recorded 1,046 additional cases of COVID-19 on Friday night, bringing it to the total number of 16,634 cases.
The country’s health department noted 21 additional deaths, for a total of 942 while there are 122 new recoveries resulting to a total of 3,720 recoveries.
