NCRPO Chief Says He ‘Recovered’ From Low Morale Due To Backlash

NCRPO Chief Said That He “Recovered” From Low Morale Due To Mañanita Backlash.

Major General Debold Sinas, the chief of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), said that he already had “recovered” from low morale caused by the mañanita backlash amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

In a report on GMA Network’s 24 Oras, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Major General Debold Sinas on Monday was “smiling” and in “high spirits” as he inspected malls in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Despite the controversy, Sinas said that he believed that he still has his moral ascendancy to lead the National Capital Region Police Office.

Previously, the Internal Affairs Service (IAS) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) filed a criminal complaint against the chief of NCRPO and 18 others over his birthday celebration.

However, Gen. Archie Gamboa, the chief of the Philippine National Police, said that Major General Debold Sinas was “hard to replace” as he would stay as chief of the National Capital Region Police Office, adding that he hoped that the public would understand as the Philippines was in an emergency situation.

On the other hand, Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, the spokesperson of the Philippine National Police, said that keeping Sinas’ position was important in order to maintain “continuity” in the programs of the police force.
