Viral video of men who went swimming inside friend’s room amid quarantine measures circulated online.
A certain video caught the attention of the netizens when a group of men went overnight swimming amid quarantine measures in the Philippines.
This, as Dr’e Atienza Navarro posted a video on Facebook and got over 6,000 shares and more than 371,000 views as of this writing.
The Philippines implemented quarantine measures —enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) on high-risk areas and general community quarantine (GCQ) on areas not included in ECQ — in order to prevent the further spread of coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
The ECQ in Metro Manila and other high-risk areas were about to end on May 15, 2020. However, mayors wanted to extend the measures for another 15 days in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, a group of people had an idea of what to do without leaving their houses. They decided to go on overnight swimming inside the room that was filled with water. As seen on their faces, they really enjoyed swimming inside their room.
In a Facebook post from Pilipinas Trending Viral, Dr’e Atienza Navarro (the uploader of the viral video) started swimming inside the room together with his friends. At the beginning, the water level was too low that even themselves can’t swim into it. They waited for a moment until the water would reach the knee-level.
