UPCAT 2020 Results To Release Within the month of May 2020, According To The University of the Philippines.
The University of the Philippines (UP) said that the university was eyeing to release the UPCAT 2020 results within the month of May 2020.
This, as the University of the Philippines College Admission Test 2020 results, which was originally scheduled to release last March 30, was rescheduled following the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon in order to contain the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
In a statement, the University of the Philippines said that the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine led to UP’s Office of Admissions operating with “only a tiny fraction of its workforce” in order to finish the necessary validation procedures as well as the final computations of results for over 100,000 examinees. The university also said that the results were “targeted for release” within this month.
The University of the Philippines conducted the admission tests last October 5 and 6, 2019, in testing centers around the Philippines such as UPEPP (Clarkfield, Pampanga), UP Visayas (Iloilo City), UP Los Baños (Laguna), UP Cebu (Cebu City), UP Tacloban College (Tacloban City), Cagayan de Oro City, UP Mindanao (Davao City), UP Baguio (Baguio City), and UP Diliman (Quezon City).
Aside from announcing the test results, the University of the Philippines was offering scholarships such as the UP Oblation Scholarship (for the Top 50 UPCAT passers) and Iskolar ng Bayan Scholarship.
