ABS-CBN To Continue Helping Filipinos Despite Issues
ABS-CBN – The Kapamilya network vowed to continue helping the Filipino people amid the COVID-19 crisis despite that their broadcast is on off-air now.
Yesterday, the Filipinos were surprised and many were saddened by the order released by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). The body issued a Cease and Desist Order against ABS-CBN network.
The said order commands an immediate action. The Kapamilya network was quick to take a move and announce that they are going off-air in line with the order of the NTC.
A lot of people expressed their sadness and disappointment over the order of the NTC. The issue is in line with the franchise of the Kapamilya network which has yet be renewed.
Previously, there were reported assurances that the network can continue operating while their franchise has yet to be discussed. What happened yesterday is really a surprise to most people.
Meanwhile, despite that ABS-CBN is on off-air now, it vowed to continue helping the Filipinos amid the COVID-19 crisis. Its Sagip Kapamilya is determined to continue delivering the aid for those who are in need of help amid the health crisis.
According to the report, some 700,000 families in 17 parts of Metro Manila and barangays in Rizal, Cavite, Bulacan, and Laguna provinces were given food packs.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque expressed that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is grateful to the Kapamilya network for its help to the Filipinos amid the pandemic. According to Roque, the President even expressed that if only he could do anything for its franchise.
