Batangas Coronavirus Patients Include 3 Medical Frontliners Amid Pandemic
MEDICAL FRONTLINERS – Three (3) health frontliners in Lipa City, Batangas were infected with coronavirus.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the fight against coronavirus or COVID-19 will take a long time. Unfortunately, amid the pandemic, several lives were lost and many of those in the front line were infected.
Coronavirus is characterized by flu-like signs for symptomatic cases. An infected person may experience fever, breathing difficulties, and cough.
However, there are also asymptomatic cases. A person may be positive for the disease even without showing any signs.
The Philippines is one of the countries with confirmed cases of the disease. The whole nation is currently implementing quarantine measures now to fight the spread of COVID-19.
According to the Department of Health (DOH), there is now a total of 14,035 cases of coronavirus recorded in the country. Some of these patients are frontliners.
Recently, Lipa, Batangas Mayor Eric Africa confirmed that three (3) medical frontliners in their city were infected with coronavirus. Based on a report on GMA News, two (2) of them are females.
One of the female patients is a 37-year-old nursing aide from Barangay Pinagkawitan. According to the report, the other patient is a 49-year-old midwife from Barangay Marawoy.
The male patient infected with COVID-19 is a nurse who is 34 years old. He is from Barangay San Carlos. As of this writing, there are still no updates as to the conditions of the medical frontliners. More updates may be posted soon.
