Update on the United States’ Coronavirus Death Toll
UNITED STATES – The U.S. authorities recorded over 2,000 deaths due to coronavirus or COVID-19 in just 24 hours.
The common enemy of most people across the globe now is the coronavirus or COVID-19. The said disease which is now a pandemic was first recorded in China.
In the city of Wuhan in China, a COVID-19 outbreak took place which urged the authorities to lock down the city. The borders were closed for more than two (2) months.
China is now recovering from the impacts of the 2019 coronavirus. In fact, the Chinese authorities have lifted the travel restrictions in Wuhan.
Currently, the country that has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases is the United States. It is now under a national emergency as previously declared by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The President assured his people that more funds will be placed on the fight against the spread of coronavirus in U.S. Millions of testing kits were purchased by the government for the mass testing.
Sadly, for several days now, the United States is recording more than 1,000 deaths daily. Based on a global tally of Worldometer, in the recent 24 hours, the country recorded 2,037 deaths due to COVID-19.
According to the tally, the coronavirus death toll in U.S. now is 18,719. More than 500,000 COVID-19 cases were recorded in the country. The fight against COVID-19 continues.
