Diether Ocampo prays for COVID-19 frontliners
Actor Diether Ocampo offered his prayer for all the COVID-19 frontliners as the fight against the virus continues.
Just like other celebrities, Diether also takes part in recognizing the efforts and sacrifices of frontliners amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. Based on the article from PEP, the actor has this prayer for those people who are risking their lives amid the health crisis.
He read the Psalm 91 which is known as a prayer of protection. The Diether also read this passage from the New Living Translation:
“Those who live in the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This, I declare, about the Lord, ‘He alone is my refuge, my place of safety, is my God, and I trust Him.
For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.
He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.
Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.
When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.
I will reward them with a long life and give them salvation.”
Based on the article, Diether Ocampo also said that he salutes the members of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary.
“Alam namin na hindi madali ang inyong trabaho kaya naman mataas ang respeto namin sa inyo. Nandito lang ho kami. Sama-sama ho nating malalagpasan itong pagsubok na ito. Sama-sama para sa Pilipinas at para sa bawat mamamayang Filipino,” the actor said.
It can be recalled that Diether trained at the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) during his showbiz hiatus. Aside from this, he also completed the seafarer’s training conducted by the Philippine Center for Advanced Maritime Simulation and Training (Philcamsat).
