This, as the Supreme Court on Wednesday released the full list of passers as well as the 2019 BAR topnotchers on its website.

Meet the two Catholic Priests

In a report from ABS-CBN News, these Catholic priests were identified as Rev. Fr. Victor De Guzman and Rev. Fr. Abundio Bacatan.

Rev. Fr. Victor De Guzman was currently assigned as the parish priest at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish Church in Balaoan in La Union. After knowing that his name was included in the list of passers, the Diocese of San Fernando de La Union congratulated him for his achievement.

Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Abundio Bacatan, according to CBCP News, was currently assigned as the parish priest at Don Bosco Dumangas in Iloilo.

Bacatan also served as the school administrator at the Don Bosco Technical College in Labangon in Cebu City. As per the report, Bacatan was said to be the first Filipino Salesian civil lawyer.

Warmest Congratulations

On Wednesday, Senior Associate Justice Estela M. Perlas-Bernabe extended her warmest congratulations to the new lawyers who successfully passed the 2019 BAR examinations.

Bernabe added that the Supreme Court has yet to announce the clearance procedures, oath-taking ceremony, and signing of the Role of the Attorneys.

Examination Results

The Supreme Court on Wednesday officially announced that 2,103 out of 7,685 examinees (equivalent to 27.36% of the total examinees) have passed the 2019 BAR examinations.

Due to the enhanced community quarantine implemented in Metro Manila, the complete list of passers was released online instead of displaying the complete list of passers on a large screen at the Supreme Court grounds in Manila.

Mae Diane Azores, a certified public accountant who graduated at the University of Santo Tomas in Legaspi and worked as a state auditor, topped the list of passers.
